PKRA Mexico - Day5

9th AFTER THE SINGLESSSSS!!!!

Today the Singles were on the schedule! The wind was not too strong, just fine fort he 13! Skippers meeting was at 9AM with first possible start at 9:30 AM! My first opponent was a mexican local. I had an average heat showing some Switch tricks and some grabbed passes. The mexican kid took the wrong kite size so it was not too difficult for me to beat him and advance into the next round.

As my next opponent I had to ride against my Austrian-teammate Mike Schitzhofer. He had just beaten the guy from New Zealand Marc Jacobs. My Heat was pretty good: 2 Switchmoves (Mobe, BlindJudge), grabbed Slim and KGB, 313 and S-Bend-Pass. However Mike wasnt lazy either. So both of us knew, it would become a difficult decision. Sadly the choice went to Mikes side. After my request at the judging tower I was informed that it was a super close one, and everyone of the 5 judges could have decided either way, every little difference counted. What a pitty... I was pretty dissapointed! However: CONGRATULATION Mike!!!

Still... Despite this setback I had to keep my head up... Even though you fall, you have to get up, and get 2 steps ahead instead of one. After the Singles (Kevin won in a disputeful decision against Aaron, and Gisela was disqualified against Bruna) I did another training session for tomorrow! The Doubles will bring a Mexican in my first round and afterwards I will either have to go against Alex Pastor or Mario Rodwald, so it wont be easy to defend my 9th place!!!
