PKRA Canada - Arrival & Day1 - Hurricanes and Fastfood
The way to get here to Summertwon on Prince Edwards Island, the 8th tourstop of the PKRA, was by far the most exhausting one ever. Since I had to say good bye to all my friends we partied until late in the morning until the Four-Season-Travel took me to the airport in Munich, from where I flew to Frankfurt where I met Schitzi and Mario. The flight to Halifax was delayed due to the dead gum hurricane Hanna. So we missed our shuttle to get to the 3 hour away kitelocation. Finally we arrived there after been travelling for 27 hours and fell to bed like dead.This place reminds me totally to my High school time in Nashville… everything is pretty similar to the US. The weather here is, except for the hurricanes pretty ok, temperatures are up in the 20s. In the afternoon the wind picked up a little and I could take a session on my 15 Fuel. Afterwards we had Registration, and since I am seeded 12th I wont have to go against the other top11 riders in the first round… The town here is super sleepy and reminds you of those old geesy US-movies… For sure there wont be as much party as in Germany… so more time to focus on the competition;-)
