Hamata - 2 weeks awesome kiting

The 2 weeks Down South in Egypt just 100k North of Sudan flew by like nothing. Klaus from Kite-Village had us going perfect in his cool kite-station. The first week was a little light regarding the wind, but the 2nd week made up for it with winds almost 24/7 being on 9s and 12s nearly all the time!

I used the time down here perfectly, getting used to the new material and my girlfriend Jac was the one of my best photographers ever getting nice action shots and stylish lifestlye pics. I enjoyed my time off from uni, but I did not forget the studying completely. I spent X-mas by completely taking usage of the 35 euro buffet of the hotel, but being totally sick on the 25th in return… haha… but it was worth it! My buddy Marvin, who was also sick, gave me a crash course in Photoshop, as he is a web-designer… So lets see what that will do to my pics! On the water I had a good challenge with Austrian-Rider Stefan and my german friends Andi, Hela, Niko, Fabian and Helga gave us great company off the water. I enjoyed the time a lot down here with Jac, and for the first time in a long time I had real good laboratory conditions to kite in… YAY :-)

Here you can have a look at the whole Gallery of Hamata with Jac, some friends, me and lots of Action! Check it out!

All the credit for the pictures goes to Jac… Thanx Babe!

I also wanna thank Orca-Travel für for getting me down here so cheap und Kite-Village for the support with the kiting down here!

I will now go home for New-Year for 24 hours and on the 1st of Jan I will leave to the carribean with Jac to Turks & Caicos. Get ready, as there are not really a lot of infos about this island, but it is very similar to the Dominican Republic as it is only 250kms further north! So check back soon!

Laterrrrrr…

Cheers

Jule

Any recommendations? There is nothing diorectly on the kite spot, right?
Would love to be as close as possible to the spot.

hey Thomas.

As you already said, there is no hotel right at the beach... so it does not really matter which one you pick. Check www.orca-kite.com for more info. I booked with them, they are the most competent organizer for this!

Cheers

Jule
