Finally BackHome
The event in Croatia was sick, both sportive and organized. Since my flight back home would not go until Tuesday, but the event finished on Saturday I joined my Italian buddy Stefano Maselli and took the ferry together with his brother from Split to Ancona to hit my favorite kite-spot: Lago di Garda. And the lake did not dissapoint me: One day nice Ora for 13 and the next day Peler for 9. And whoever has been there once, feeling the lifestyle, the morning sun, reflecting in the cold water, and still, the conditions at 7 in the morning are the best in the world. After the sickest session you get out of the water, totally ready to kill a cow, and you enjoy your breakfast to the fullest. If you get to live such moments, you feel that you are alive :-)
Daniel was really cool, and picked me up from the lago, but not until we had a 1 hour swimming session since the wind dropped out of a sudden for no reason :-( but who gives a f**k… lago rules ;-) Finally back home!!! I have not seen my house in almost 5 months and even though not a lot of things have changed, I had the feeling everything and everybody was new. A lot of work came up to me: magazines wanted reports, sponsors wanted pictures, and I wanted some new sponsors, and on top off all, I am a medical student… or should be ;-) I will have one of my biggest exams ever coming up on the 7th of July: SIP3… short and strange name, but sick exam, so lets see, I should have time to really hit the books :-)
The cool thing was, the last week that I have been here now, my local spot Lago di Achen is working pretty good. I had two nice session up there, so I dont loose my riding completely… The next appointment on my schedule is the Austrian championship on the 15th of June and then one week later I am off to Cabarete, Domenican Republic…
I will give you a short update the next days
Cheers
Jule
