Arrival on Mauritius

Thanx to a good friend I was able to buy a First Class Ticket to Mauritius fort he price of an Economy Ticket. SWEEETTTT and a Big Thank You!!! :-) After Mallorca I was not even home for a whole day and I am now already on the plane again. I am not complaining at all... rather, I cant wait to kite in Paradise...

The Check-In was for the first time in my life no problem at all, even though my luggage was 30kg over and my surfboard 50cm too long ;-) F makes it all possible I guess… haha! I had a layover in Johannesburg and as my flight from Frankfurt was delayed I missed my connection and was therefore booked into the 5 Star Interconti. A relaxing visit to the complementary SPA made up for not being in Mauritius on time. Of course my luggage was missing once I arrived in MRU, but they promised me it would arrive the next day...

Today was my first day here, and as Jac got her stuff, I could rip on the 7 and surfboard. It was just perfect. First I got used to the waves in Manawa. 5 meters, not barreling... but the height was very impressing. But as I got better and better and more comfortable with the gear in the waves I decided to give One-Eye a visit. With the exception of one hard crash where I lost my board and was floating just a little above the reef everything worked fine, and I had one of the best sessions of my life! I will definitely love the upcoming 2 weeks here in paradise!!!!

I am sooo exhausted from my 5 hours on the water… I will have to go to bed… I will give you another update the next days!!!!
