PKRA Germany - Day4 - Bad star into the Single
Today we did the whole Single. I had to go in the first heat of the day at 10 AM right against Alex. I had an average Heat, landing several Switch Tricks, Kiteloop Handlepasses and other Powered Tricks. Still, it was not enough. I lost in a close decision 2:1… One judge saw me winning due to my switch, the other two had me loosing cause of my high kite position, even though they stressed how close it was, and both of us could have fun… well, so what! Aaron won the finals, leaving Kevin and Alvaro behind him. Bruna won in the girls, beating Gisela and Karolina.Tomorrow we will go right into the Doubles. First I will have to beat a Belgian kid (I should be the favorite) and right afterwards I have to go against the Nr.9 Tom cour. I can definitely beat Tom, however he can beat me as well :-) Still, I got really chances for a TOP10 place… For sure I will give everything I got. The forecast looks promising. Here you can check the live results. I need your crossed fingers more than ever!
Cheers

PKRA Germany - Day3 - cancelled heat
The day started off like yesterdays: first rainy and cold, but during the day it cleared up and became rather warm and sunny. They held 3 races and as the wind picked even up a little the organizer decided to begin the Single-Elimination. I was in heat 6 against Alex Pastor. During the competition the wind started to drop more and more, and in my heat I was almost underpowered on my 15 Slingshot Fuel and my 135x41er Julehosp-Promodel of SU-2. As the wind dropped even more I could not stay upwind anymore, and the organizer decided to cancel the heat and get us on standby. I was not really happy about this: First of all Alex was struggling even more than I was and now I will be the first heat on the water tomorrow… But so what, I will beat him tomorrow :-)Cheers

PKRA Germany - Day2 - sunny but not windy
The day was, concerning the weather, a lot better than yesterday. Lots of visitors came to see the event, however there was not much wind. The organizer was only able to hold one Race. I chilled most of the day and got my material in shape. Furthermore I helped my sponsors Slingshot and Triggernaut, who have a small stand here at the event.I had loads of bad luck once again in the draw: I have to go against Alex Pastor, Nr.4 of the world, for the 4th time in the first round this year. We will see, I will give my best, even though I am the big underdog. The wind looks nice for the next days, so I hope we will get some action. I will keep you updated with the latest news, and also write some comments under the articles to be totally up to date. And the Gallery will regularily be filled with the newest shots!
Cheers

PKRA Germany - Day1 - Bad start with a happy ending
Despite a pretty bad forecast, good winds started to hit in in the late afternoon and the organizer decided to do the mens trials. More than 25 people were not prequalified, and so wasnt I with my 13th place. But since I was seeded the best, I should have had an easy heat. However, things always come different than expected and so I crashed in my first heat, immediately 5 seconds after the start, cause I had to reverse my kite unexpectedly due to a turning opponents kite. The strong current and the waves made my lines and the kites so twisted that I could not relaunch the whole heat, and so I was only able to show this first trick, which was never enough for the victory :-(I was really shocked… should I loose the next heat I would be eliminated and could go back home to Austria. Thanx to the great help of Austrian team buddy Mike Schitzhofer I recovered fast enough. He pumped up my 15, helped me sort out the lines and supported me mentally. I had a mediocre heat, but it was plenty enough to win and get into the main event. A big THANX to Mike. Without you, I would be on my way back home!
Tomorrow it looks good for wind. Maybe we will start with the Singles. I will figure out the draw tomorrow, and as soon as I know something, you will be the first to know, so stay tuned! Cross your fingers!!!
Cheers

PKRA Germany - Arrival
The last two days back home topped the whole rest. Good party, pretty girls and 2 sick kiting days on lake Achen. The last day I even did a hooked-in-to-unhooked-Kiteloop-Handlepass… a pretty hard trick. Yesterday morning I left at 7 AM to drive 1100 km up north to the 7th PKRA tourstop in St. Peter Ording.I picked Susi Mai up in Munich with my Toyota Hilux, and spent really interesting 10 hours driving up to North Germany. Here I am staying with the whole Triggernaut Team directly in front of the event. My pickup is just perfect here at the beach. Since I am seeded 13 and only top12 will be prequalified I will have to do trials :-( But who cares… I am prepared well and I am super used to my Slingshotkites and my Oneill-Wetsuits keep me warm in these super though, cold, rainy and stormy conditions.
Today will be the first day, but it does not really look like lots of wind, rather like lots of rain. The event is well organized, we have internet in the riders tent, and the hot event girls serve us food. I reckon we will start tomorrow, it looks like light winds and pretty cold. But what I am used on lake Achen :-) Sweeett!!!
I will feed you with updates regularily and the Gallery will be full with pics.
Cheers
Jule

Session on Lake Achen 2,3 & 4 - Simply the Best!!!
7 Days in Innsbruck, 4 Days on Lake Achen, 3 days Mega-Porn-Wind. My decision to spend these days here at home was the best I could have maede. Initially I had different plans, but sometimes life takes a decision for your and you have to accept it, and work the best out of it. I did it! My homespot worked better than ever before, proved why my hometown can be really awesome, and prepared me with its 1000m above sealevel perfectly for Germany. The cold is incredible, and sometimes 5 mm are not enough! So Germany-cold, I am ready :-)In the evenings we always had incredible parties, hardly ever I got into bed before 5 AM :-) Yoga, Fitnesscenter and Stretching made up for the nightly outragings!!! Check the pics in the Gallery from all the action in Good-ol-Innsbruck. Some people made say we cant party or have fun… Look again :-) Well one time, I cheated on my little girlfriend Kitesurfing ;-) I had a light-wind-winsurfing-flat-water-action-session… I still got it ;-)
Simply, enjoy your life, every day, every second, every moment! Keep those people close, that are still there when you have hard times… Thanx Daniel!!
Cheers from one of the happiest places right now…. Well… stop the blablablablablalba :-)

Session on Lake Achen
I have now been home for a few days, and I really enjoyed it. I met with friends, partied a lot, hit the gym and just enjoyed life to its fullest. Still, I really missed to kitesurf. My almost-brother Daniel pursuaded me to join him to our local spot lake achen as the forecast looked ok. And I was astonished. I had one of my best days on the little like inmidst the mountains. I was fully sheeted in on my 15 and every trick I triedI stuck... super sick! Why even bother travelling away so far if the perfect spot is sometimes right in front of someone... ahahahaha!I will be here enjoying life another week. Hope to get some more good days on the water. Maybe I will go to lago di garda or hit some other lakes nearby, or I go wakeboarding. For sure some big party!! On Friday I am off with Susi Mai to go to St. Peter Ording together!
As soon as there are any updates, I will let you know!
Cheers

Training Fuerte - Day10 - Leaving Home
We had to leave at 6 PM, so I wanted to get another session on the water before this. High tide was prognosticated to be at noon, so just perfect for a lagoon session. However the wind did not join in the game, and so I had to leave the island without a session on the last day. Since we were 3 people traveling, we did not have any troubles with our luggage and the calm flight brought us back home at 11 PM. From munich the Four Season Travel did an awesome job taking us directly in front of our house. Thanx! The last 3 weeks on Fuerte were great. I had lots of fun both on and off the water, and kiting was better than ever before. I will now stay for 10 days in Austria, maybe hitting the local Achensee a few times or spending a few days on Lago di Garda, my favorite kite place. On the 22nd I will drive my Toyota Hilux up North to St. Peter Ording for the 7th PKRA stop in Germany.
I will give you an update as soon as there is anything noteworthy. Catch a short glimpse on my Gallery to see all the pics from Fuerte.
Cheers

Training Fuerte - Day9 - Last Day
We had planned to get a morning session on the lagoon, when the high tide was still there, however when we arrived there, we were set back as there was no wind. So we changed our plans and we climbed up the volcano oof the island. It was really breathtaking, better check the Gallery to see how great the view is.Afterwards we went to El Cotillo where I had two awesome sessions. Tomorrow will be our last day here and at 9 PM we will leave to Austria :-( I will be there for 10 days until the PKRA Germany. I will give you an update when I am back home!
Cheers

Training Fuerte - Day6-8 - Kiting & Chilling
DAY6:The wind was nuking strong and I had only the 11 as my smallest kite in the car, and therefore in El Cotillo as well as at the lagoon totally overpowered. Still I had super lots of fun blasting out of the kicker-waves into more than 12 meter heights. Afterwards I took a surfboard of a friend and went to get some waves with the kite… pretty nice.
DAY7:
The wind was a less than yesterday and therefore just perfect for 11. El Cotillo was too gusty, so I was pretty motivated for a evening session at the lagoon. However the high tide was now hitting too late and so we rather had to wait for high water as for wind. Still I had a good session and fell into bed super tired.
DAY8:
The forecast was rather bad and so we all decided to take a break of kiting and we went to visit the acquaparc in Coralejo. We had so much fun and I relaxed a lot so I am totally ready for kiting the next two days. Tomorrow it will be high tide at 10 AM, so I will try to get a early morning session before breakfast.
Cheers
Jule
